Google Pulling All Tethering Apps

It appears that has made a move similar to Apple in regards to the availability of tethering applications and has begun removing them from the Android Market. This was first reported by the developer behind the WiFi Tether for Root Users app, who said that Google has pulled his application.

Google Releases My Tracks for Android Phones

Google today announced the release of My Tracks, a new application that will appeal to runner's, those who enjoy trail hiking and people who find themselves getting lost all too often. My Tracks is available as a free download in the Android Market in the Lifestyles section.

Google axed Android multitouch at Apple’s request

Multitouch support was dropped from the Android platform, and therefore the T-Mobile G1, after Apple requested it not be included.  That’s the latest rumor, apparently confirmed by an unnamed Android team member, who described the arrangement as an attempt by Google to avoid the IP aggression we’ve recently seen between Apple and Palm.
