We've got some confirmation on the rumored marriage of NVIDIA’s Tegra chipset and Android! This long awaited announcement should definitely please Android fans everywhere.
NVIDIA’s Tegra APX will deliver 720p video capture and playback, advanced 3D technology, 700MHz-800MHz clock speed (by comparison, the G1 runs at 528MHz) and much more to Android devices. Look for these to start shipping around the middle of the year.
If that’s not enough to make you happy, perhaps this
will. NVIDIA is claiming that the $99 High Definition Mobile Internet
Device (HD MID) is not far off. According to PhoneDog, the device runs off of Windows CE (lame) and pledges 10X the battery life of Intel’s Atom-based MID’s.
