If you "Love this game" the wants to keep you fully immersed in
it where ever you are. NBA Digital has released an Android app
titled GameTime, that keeps users up-to-date with scores, schedules, stats, and standings. Android users can also cue that classic “NBA on NBC” theme music and follow all the action closely with this app.
GameTime offers an amazing design and intuitive interface. The graphics are
great, there’s a sound layout, and all the information is organized ni...

Check out this great video review from TeraGadges about Kid GBC emulator for Android. Kidd GBC can be found in the Android Market for $2.00. Of course, if
you are familiar with emulators, you will know that the games are not
going to be included, those will have to be downloaded from online
sources (hint: click here) and then copied over to the SD card on your G1.

Torrent Droid is a great little app that allows users to easily find torrents for just about any movie, game, cd, etc. Just scan a UPC bar code and the app will search BitTorrent automatically. At least one of the major sites (Pirate Bay, Minonova, Demonoid, etc)
should return results, and you can then pick a torrent to send to your
PC at home to start downloading.

Google has announced a new Finance for Android app that is available now in the Android Market. Finance for Android links up with the online Google Finance website, and allows users to view real-time streaming quotes in their portfolio, access fast stock look-ups with search auto-suggestion, and call up “recent quotes” to check figures on-the-go.
Each stock shows detailed quotes, charts and news, and any change you make to your portfolio automatically syncs up with the Googl...

If you’ve ever tried out online streaming music, chances are you've heard of SHOUTcast. For those of you who haven't, it’s an online media streaming service developed by Nullsoft with over 20,000 radio stations. With numerous genres and sub-genres to choose from, users are able to listen to pretty much any kind of music they want using their favorite media application.
As people slowly transition away from the desktop and start going mobile, services like SHOUTcast start to lose their ... Continue reading ...

worth the money just to be able to save .doc, .xls, and .txt files
from GMail to the SD card, which it does. I have a few e-mails in my
inbox with attachments, which I kept in hopes of saving to the SD card
someday. Now I can do just that!
Pros:
Can save .doc, .xls, and .txt to SD card, which could not be done before.
I dont' have a navigation system in my car, however I don't think I will ever need one, TeleNav GPS Navigator gives me everything I was expecting it to be, plus more. There’s a lot of hype around a coming Garmin/Asus phone and rightfully so. If it ends up anything like this experience, there will be plenty of happy folks out there.
When you first open TeleNav GPS Navigator, you’re
given four options: Drive T...

Air Hockey is a timeless American pastime, right up there with
stickball and freeze tag. JJC Games has managed to port that classic
table hockey experience to Android in its new game Air Hockey.
Like its non-virtual counterpart, Air Hockey is all about angles and
reflexes. In order to succeed, gamers have to develop an eagle eye for
spotting when their opponent has opened himself up for a goal. A split
second recognition of a favorable angle can lead to a flick of the
thumb and a...

When you first launch My Tracks, you will be greeted with a world
map as your phone acquires a GPS fix. One press of the menu brings
up the available options and with a tap of the thumb you can begin
recording information. As you begin to move, an orange arrow will show
your direction while a red tail shows the path. The display seems to
keep the entire path visible on the screen while you are recording, but
you have the option to move around the map by dragging it.

The best feature of the app is the notification service. Once a
location is set (either by the user’s current position or manually
choosing), the current temperature is displayed in the notification
bar. If you drag down the notification bar the current temperature and
forecast are both displayed. There is no need to open the app; the data
refreshes periodically. Best of all, there was no noticeable hit on
battery life from this service. This feature sets a new standard for
weather apps bec...

TuneWiki is a music app for the Android platform. This app is the
perfect replacement for the default music player that comes with the
Android interface. This app not only allows you to handle all of your
music, it also enhances the entire experience.
There are a few big parts to TuneWiki. First off, you can listen to all
the music you store on your Android phone. You can view that music
based on Artists, Album, Song, or Playlists you've created. When you
start playing a song, yo...

This app has a lot of nice features. Once Movie Finder
locates you, it suggests the various theaters in your area to you and
shows distance to each, in kilometers. When you are in your home area, it’s no
big deal. You probably know how far it is to get to your theaters. If
you are traveling and want to take in a movie, just use the ballpark
estimate of 1mi to .6 km and you’ll be alright. Would it be nice to
have distance in miles? Yes. Is it a deal breaker? Nope.

Want to track your favorite team? This is the app for you! Upon opening the app for the first time, you’re greeted with tiles for the major sports of NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB, WNBA, and CFL. In addition to all of these, you also have a Favs icon.
It’s possible to handpick your favorite teams from each sport and
group them together in one convenient location. It’s now possible for
me to check the FLORIDA GATORS (NATIONAL CHAMPS!) and Miami Heat
in one spot. You ca...

This little game of color matching can take you by surprise. What
seems like a very basic, dull looking game at first starts to draw you
in within minutes. I couldn’t start another app on my G1 until I
cleared it. Although it only took me a handful of times to finish the
game, I imagined myself coming back to this one down the road, if
only to beat my own record.
One of the things I was disappointed by when I first downloaded the game was the limited number of
levels to play. Fortunate...

I downloaded Bonfire Media’s
“Pocket Auctions for eBay” night and instantly fell in love with it.
Upon opening it up, I’m greeted with options like Deals, My eBay, and
Scan. Each of these features would make a half decent eBay application
on its own, but when combined in one program, it adds up to one of the
best Android titles yet. It’s no surprise when you read the “About” information, you’d see that they are a member of the eBay developers program and have won awards for...

You can finally learn the name of the song playing every 40 minutes on the loop at work, or playing in the car every 10 minutes! When we first opened Shazam we had two options, “Tag Now” and “My Tags”. It is a very simple but effective design.
The first option, “Tag Now” takes you to the listening part, it immediately starts listening for about 20 seconds then it analyzes the clip of music
and tries to find a match. We found that it is very important to have a
clear sound to analy...

Finding new music and old favorites is a breeze with imeem. The design and layout of this application were very easy to
navigate. Everything felt intuitive and we were able to get around
with no problems. I started out by creating a new user account and
found that a short and sweet process with no hiccups. Once logged in,
I was greeted with options to listen to Spotlight (new and notable
artists) or Top 100 (hottest songs on imeem). I tried both out and found a few artists I knew as well ... Continue reading ...

Clean, easy to navigate interface makes it stand out from all the other bill splitting and tip calculator applications out there.

time to splitting up the bill, with or without factoring in tips. Exitloop’s Ti...

Packed with shortcuts to many useful features, this is a must have for your desktop. The latest version of the app we played with has an immense amount of features. Users have the ability to manage GPS, brightness, wifi, airplane mode and more at the touch of their finger. There’s also a shortcut to ringer modes, Bluetooth, and screen timeout. Google may have recently killed off a few projects these last couple of

the announcement of Latitude, the location broadcasting service that combines Google Maps with GPS and cell phone triangulation.

This is the service that will help. Computer-based iGoogle shows a map

SMS Popup is a great app that doesn’t get
the recognition it deserves. Its not on any of those “must

figure out why. It’s loaded with features that enhance your messaging
options and looks better than the Google stuff that comes
loaded with Android.
It can be frustrating to have to keep checking your phone...
