What are some good android phones?

I am planning to get an android phone for my birthday, and I was wondering what are some good phones? I know the latest Android operating system is the Jelly Bean 4.2, so what are some phones that run on this system, or could be upgraded to this system? I’m not interested in the Samsung Galaxy S3, but I was interested in the HTC One X+ and the HTC Windows 8 phone, and the Google Nexus 4. Also, I was reading an article that was talking about phones that may be released later in 2013, like the Samsung Galaxy S4, Nokia Lumia 9xx, and HTC EVO 4G LTE 2. So what would be the best choice at the moment? Buying a phone right now, or waiting? And which phone should I buy? Read more >>

Is (update) support still available for previous nexus phones? Are they update as new Android versions come?

I am thinking of selling my galaxy note and buying a second hand nexus phone (the old one, not nexus 4) to save money for a laptop. Choosing nexus because they don’t have filled over the cup stock roms and get the Android updates the first. But I Don’t know if earlier versions are as supported as the latest one. If you are a nexus user or know about this stuff, please tell. Also if anyone has any tips on selling a phone or buying a cheap laptop or know where I can sell my phone for profit or can list some cheap but good to go for more than 4 years laptop, feel free to share you’re knowledge here. Thanks to you all for contributing and helping. Read more >>

UK’s Phones 4U scores exclusive launch rights for the white Huawei Ascend P2

Few days ago we’ve told you that Huawei Ascend P2 is coming to the UK, and now we have Phones 4U saying that it managed to score the exclusive launch rights for the white version of the device. The mobile specialist failed to mention the exact launch date and pricing, but we tend to believe interested users will be able to grab the Ascend P2 in white for free as long as they commit on a two-year contract with one of the major carriers, including Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, EE and O2. The unlocked unit will likely go for more than 300 GBP. At 8.4mm, Huawei’s baby is one of the thinnest smartphones around. It comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 13-megapixel camera, LTE connectivity support, a ton of built-in storage, and so on. If you live in the UK and want to reserve Read more >>
